Vernon C. Rudebusch

LIVINGSTON, Texas — A memorial service is being planned for a later date for Vernon C. Rudebusch, 98, Livingston, Texas.

Vernon was born Aug. 21, 1923, near Randolph, the youngest of 10 children, to Henry and Marie Rudebusch. He died May 6 2022, in Livingston, Texas, where he had lived since 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Koehn Rudebusch, in 2016; son, Jim, in 1993; his parents and nine siblings.

Vernon graduated from Randolph High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Vernon married Geraldine Dec. 26, 1947. They farmed most of their lives south of Randolph, retiring in 2008. They were married for 64 years. He is survived by Jim’s son, David Rudebusch, Lincoln; son, Dan, and

He is survived by Jim’s son, David Rudebusch, Lincoln; son, Dan, and daughter-in-law, Karla, and their children, Rick, Jake and Mike Rudebusch; and Dr. Hannah LaForce, all of Texas; son, John, daughter-in-law, Diane, and their son, Joe, Randolph, and granddaughter, Dr. Beth Raede of Florida; and eight great-grandchildren.
