Stacey Goeden

WAUSA — Funeral services for Stacey Goeden, 50, Wausa, were April 5, at First Assembly of God Church, Yankton, S.D. Pastor Ray Lail officiated, with burial at a later date.

Visitation was Thursday at the church.

Brockhaus Funeral Home, Wausa, was in charge of arrangements.

Stacey Ann Goeden was born in Osmond, July 29, 1968. She died March 31, 2019, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton.

Stacey was born to Roger and Diane (Bargman) Smith. She

was baptized at the First Trinity Lutheran Church and attended school there until the eighth grade. She continued her high school years at Bloomfield Schools. After graduation, Stacey was accepted into St. Joseph’s Beauty School, Norfolk. She married her soul mate, Tony Goeden, June 10, 1989, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. From their marriage, four blessings came, Samantha, Whitney, Derek and Amanda, and they were raised on the Goeden Family Farm.

Along with being Tony’s wing man on the farm, she enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, playing with farm pets and tinkering in the shop. She loved to be in the kitchen baking, cooking and entertaining. She would never let you leave the table hungry.

One of the most important aspects of Stacey’s life was her children. She spent countless hours at extracurricular activities and always celebrated their accomplishments with friends and family.

Survivors include husband, Tony Goeden, Wausa; children, Samantha and Justin Jindra, Bloomfield; Whitney and Dustin Riese, Norfolk; Derek Goeden, Wausa; and Amanda Goeden, Norfolk; parents, Roger and Diane Smith, Bloomfield; brother, Kevin and Karla Smith, Bloomfield; and nephews, Kip Smith, Bloomfield, and Kelly Smith, Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by great grandparents, Herman and Lena Bargman, and Rob and Hilda Stewart; grandparents, Earl and Anna Bargman, and Raymond and Lola Smith; and many other loved ones.
