Robert R. "Bobby" Gansebom

OSMOND Graveside service for Robert R. "Bobby" Gansebom, 64, of Osmond will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Prospect View Cemetery in rural Pierce. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 326, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7838, and the Sons of The American Legion of Osmond.

Bobby died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at the Arbor Care Center in Fullerton. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond is in charge of the arrangements.

Bobby was born on May 31, 1957, in Norfolk to Roy and Agnes (Dvorak) Gansebom. He graduated from Osmond High School in 1974. After high school, Robert enlisted into the United States Navy. He served from Jan. 6, 1976, to Nov. 7, 1979. After being honorable discharged, he moved back and farmed with his dad. He married Shelly Arehart on Nov.r 26, 1983, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Osmond. He then worked for Buchanan Well in Osmond and he worked there for 30 years until 2010. He later worked maintenance in Omaha for five years. Bobby then became disabled. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool, and tinkering with things.

Survivors include his sons, Mike (Kelsey) Gansebom of Norfolk, Brandon Gansebom of Osmond and Derrick Gansebom of Bellwood; three grandchildren, Lainey, Cael and Zachary, and sister Patricia (Roger) Crandall of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Agnes, and son, Joe on March 14, 2017. Condolences may be expressed to the family on-line at www.stonacekfuneralchapel.com.
