Peggy Lee Braden

OSMOND — Memorial services for Peggy Lee Braden, age 71, of Niobrara will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at United Methodist Church in Osmond.

Mrs. Braden died at her home on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2018.

Peggy Lee was born to Clinton and Leonore (Long) Peterson on Aug. 23, 1947, in Osmond. She was raised on the family farm in the Magnet area until she married Steve Lackas in 1963, and to that marriage she was blessed with three children: Brian, Michael and Stephanie. Peggy later went on to marry Barrie Braden and to that union two more children were added: NikkiWragge and Jakki Braden. Together they owned B&B Lanes in Osmond for many years. Peggy enjoyed music and traveling around the area with their Music Maker Karaoke business. The couple later moved to Lazy River Acres where they continued their music and lawn service business. Peggy loved gatherings at the river with family and friends, and enjoyed her grandchildren, Justin, Nicole, Matt and Megan, Ashton, Shane and Seth, Jackson and Jaycee, Travis and Courteny and nine great-grandchildren. She loved horses and trail rides, boatlqj/#fdpslqj/#Úvklqj#dqg#khu#fdwv1# Peggy would never turn her back on a stray and cherished her beloved rescue dog, Bowzer.

Peggy later moved to Niobrara where she met Jack. They enjoyed trail rides, dining, rodeos and dancing.

Peggy is survived by her mother, Lee Peterson; sons, Brian (Marcie) of Yankton, and Michael (Lisa) of Wisconsin; daughters Stephanie (Kevin) of Bloomfield, Nikki Wragge and Jakki Braden; sisters Carolyn of California, Betty (Leon) of Omaha, Debbie of Norfolk, and Sheila (Byron) of Pierce; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton; husband, Barrie, and special friend, Jack.
