Kenneth A. Christiansen

OSMOND — Memorial service for Kenneth A. Christiansen, 92, of Osmond, formerly of Pierce, was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond. Inurnment was held at Osmond City Cemetery in rural Osmond. Recorded songs included "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone" and "Heaven Is Now My Home."

Ken died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Colonial Manor in Randolph. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond is in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth A. Christiansen, the son of Carl and Olga (Nelson) Christiansen, was born Dec. 7, 1925, in rural Pilger. He attended school to eighth grade in Pilger. After school, Ken worked as a mechanic in the Pilger area. He married Irene Paulson on May 9, 1954, in Norfolk. Kenneth and Irene moved to Pierce County, where Ken worked at Kolterman Implement in Pierce as a mechanic for numerous years. He then later worked for S & A feedlot in Plainview until he retired. Irene died on April 16, 2010. Ken’s hobbies included fdpslqj/#Úvklqj#dqg#gdqflqj1#Kh#zdv#d#phpehu#ri#Lppdqxho#Oxwkhudq# Church in Osmond.

Survivors include his children, Gary (Becky) Christiansen of Martxhwwh/#Joruld#+OhUr|,#Nxpp#ri#Rvprqg/#Ohrq#Fkulvwldqvhq#dqg#Wrgg# Christiansen of Spencer, IA, and Bruce Christiansen of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and his close friend, Esther Svitak of Creighton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Olga; his spouse, Irene; his brother, Melvin Christiansen, and a sister, Dorothy Glaser.
