Janice Joann was born May 29, 1940, the eldest daughter of Joseph Edward and Agnes (Johnson) Forsberg, rural Concord. She grew up on the farm her grandfather homesteaded in 1884, and was the “boy her dad never got.” She graduated from Concord High School in 1958, which was the last graduating class of the school. Janice went to Wayne State College for a year studying banking. She worked for Security National Bank prior to 1965, and also at the Telephone office in Wayne during high school and college. Janice married Vernon Keith Kamrath Oct. 2, 1965, in Concord. They moved to Plainview for a year and she worked for Harold Mauch Photography. She and Vern moved to Laurel in 1968, and then Janice worked for Darrell and Darlene Gowery at the Grocery Store for 16 years. Janice then worked for several owners at the Pharmacy in Laurel, until retiring in 2010.

Janice was very involved with her membership at the Evangelical Free Church: Sunday school, WMS, and Awana in 1988. She loved her Lord, her family, and she loved to farm. Janice touched a lot of people with her unwavering faith. Janice also loved being outdoors as much as possible. Her father bought her a John Deere 730 tractor so she could far m with him. She was a true farm girl and was until she died.

Janice is survived by her husband, Vern, Wayne; a daughter, Tonya, Dakota Dunes, S.D.; a sister, Elaine (Doug) Reynolds, Brunswick; and niece, Danielle Reynolds; and nephew, Justin (Melanie) Yarosevich, Storm Lake, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Agnes Forsberg; and a sister, Marlene Yarosevich.

Memorials are to be directed to Vern Kamrath at 1500 Vintage Hill Dr., Apt. 307, Wayne, NE 68787.
