FORDYCE — Gary Joseph Schmitt, 51, Fordyce, died Oct. 31, 2021, at the Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fordyce, with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at church Thursday morning.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.
