Arthur Bilau, 72

SPRING LAKE, NC — Retired US Air Force TSGT James Arthur Bilau, 72, of Spring Lake, NC, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Cape Fear Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
Jim never knew a stranger. He loved talking and visiting with anyone he came across. His hobbies included woodworking, collecting and polishing rocks and gemstones. He also loved the Lord and sharing his faith with others. After having dialysis for 14 years himself, he mentored others through the dialysis process.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Odella Bilau, and a sister, JoAnn Glandt.
He is survived by his brothers, Allen and wife Ruth of Omaha, Leon and wife Bette of Gretna and Paul and wife Jane of Lincoln; sister Kathy and husband Phil Urbina of Carlsbad, CA; eight nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and -nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, two miles south of McLean, followed by a gathering of relatives and friends at the American Legion Hall in Osmond.
