Aric died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at his residence in Osmond. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce is in charge of the arrangements.

Aric was born on Jan. 19, 1982, in Jetmore, KS, to Robert Lynn and Caroline J. Burton. He graduated from high school in 2001. Aric, mostly known as Arack, lived life on his terms from a very young age. His life was about adventure, imagination, escape and true unfiltered fun. He has travelled and is well known in Colorado, Oregon, Hawaii, and many other places he visited. He loved to draw; art was a safe place for him to express himself without judgement or a filter. He didn’t hold back; he gave 100% into everything he did. A conversation would always turn into stories and memories and times that he loved to share. A joke was never far away; he loved to laugh and enjoy the moment. He impacted the world with his wit and sarcasm and even his looks. He taught so many people that you can truly not judge a book by its cover. So many people thought he looked intimidating, but he would leave early to make sure his rabbit was always okay, and had the biggest heart. He is held in many hearts and missed by so many. His legacy is to always live life to the fullest, be yourself and to definitely make an impression, everywhere you go.

He is survived by his mother, Caroline J. Burton of Honolulu, HI; brother Christapher Burton of Loveland, CO; sister Gennipher Staroscik of Columbus; best friend Ashton Wolfe of Portland, OR; nieces Taylor Burton of Aurora, CO, Rylee Burton and Hollee Burton of Loveland, CO, and Mazzee Staroscik of Columbus; uncle Mont G. McAllister of Pagosa Springs, CO; grandfather Mont O. McAllister of Dodge City, KS; aunts and uncles of Dodge City, KS, Penny McAllister, Brenda (McAllister) and husband Duane Nietling; seven cousins from Dodge City, KS: Joshua Neitling, Nichole Capers, Amanda Hensley, Michelle Blanco, Matt McAllister, Melissa McAllister and Autumn Herpolsheimer, and his beloved companion rabbit, Corpse Bevington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lynn Burton, grandmother Barbara A. McAllister and his uncle Mark McAllister.
