Bears move to 2-0 with win over W-P

WISNER — The Bear ground attack churned out another win Friday night.

Evan Haisch carried 34 times, collecting 282 yards on the night and scoring four touchdowns to help lead the state-rated Bears to a 36-14 win over Wisner-Pilger.

Neither team was able to find paydirt in the first frame, but the Bears got on the scoreboard twice in the second quarter thanks to two huge Evan Haisch runs to take a 14-0 lead into the halftime break. Haisch broke free on a 65-yard TD scamper, and got behind the defense a few minutes later on a 60-yard run. He also scored on runs of 11 and 12 yards.

The Bear ‘D’ also did a good job of containing the Gator offense. Sutton Ehlers led the defense with seven tackles.
