19 OHS seniors to graduate on Saturday
OSMOND — High school careers will come to a close for 19 Osmond High School seniors on Saturday, May 8. Commencement ceremonies will take place in the OHS gym at 2 p.m.
Honor Students Named
The four top-ranking seniors will present speeches during the ceremonies. In addition, the next two highest-ranking seniors will deliver the welcome and farewell for the program. Introducing the speakers will be Superintendent David Hamm.
Valedictorian of the Class of 2021 is Connor von Rentzell, son of Aaron and Jennifer von Rentzell. This year’s salutatorian is Connor Gutz, son of Marvin and Melanie Gutz.
Ranking third is Brady Stech, son of Marvin and Mary Beth Stech. The fourth-ranking senior is Zachary Huwaldt, son of Bradley and Marla Huwaldt.
Ranking fifth is Johnson Chishiba, son of Rodgers Chishiba and Abiba Alice Shomari, who will deliver the welcome. Sixth-ranking is Hayle Krienert, who will give the farewell address. Hayle is the daughter of Nick and Jeni Krienert.

The Program
In addition to addresses by members of the senior class, the program includes presentation of American Legion Post 326 Awards and recognition of departing staff members by Dave Hamm, commander of American Legion Post 326 and superintendent of Osmond Community School.
The Osmond High School band and choir will perform selections during the ceremony.
Presenting the Class of 2021 will be Superintendent Hamm, after which diplomas will be awarded by Board of Education President Mark Moes. The recessional will be presented by members of the graduating class.
Serving as escorts are juniors Kaden Polt and Bailey Schmit.
Senior Selections
The motto chosen by the Class of 2021 is “What takes us back to the past are the memories. What brings us forward is our dreams.” The class flower is a white rose, while the chosen colors are orange, black and platinum. The class sponsor is Lacy Stelling.
