Food Pantry now has refrigerator

OSMOND — The Osmond Food Pantry, which is located at the United Methodist Church, has just received a new, 27-cu.-ft. refrigerator and will now be able to stock perishable foods on site. The food pantry received the appliance through a grant from the State of Nebraska.

It has also received several generous donations in cash and also in food supplies from businesses and private parties, and would like to thank those who donated for their generosity.

The pantry has Osmond Dollars available, which can be used for gas for vehicles, or gift certificates at Tiger Town Food Center for purchasing perishable foods.

Food pantry representatives commented, “Because of the COVID-19 virus, people in the area are suffering and some have even lost their employment. Please feel free to visit the food pantry for some of the necessary food items you need.

“We always welcome your donations of food supplies. We are always in need of paper products and laundry supplies. Right now, we have a plentiful supply of canned goods,” they added.
