Test plot enhances the skills, understanding of local students

LAUREL — As a group of 30 Future Farmers of America members at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School wandered out of the field, the comparisons began.
“It was a little, ‘Children of the Corn’ like,” joked Scott Taylor, local business owner and FFA supporter. “But man, did those kids have fun.”
And that was just part of the goal of the Aug. 6 event for middle and high school students. The other goal was to educate the students.
