Eight Tigers named to Academic All-State

OSMOND — Fall, winter, spring…it doesn’t matter. Osmond High School has several students who consistently achieve excellence in the classroom.

Eight Tigers earned NCPA Academic All-State while participating in athletics or activities. The basic criteria includes that the students earn a varsity letter and achieve at a high level in the classroom. The sponsor of each activity decides who they nominate.

Three of the recipients earned recognition for the same award for fall activities: seniors Drew Kreinert, Andrea Schmit and Shelby Stelling. Schmit and Stelling both earned the award as participants in girls’ basketball. Colton Beacom was the fourth senior on the list. He participated in wrestling.

Junior Nick Reikofski joined Krienert in receiving the award for boys’ basketball.

Diandra Polt and Alexis Solorzano were two sophomores on the list. Polt was a member of speech, while Solorzano was in wrestling.

Austin Vinson was the school’s only freshman to be tabbed as Academic All-State. He competed in speech.
