Lady Bears close out season with SubDistrict loss

WAYNE — The Laurel-Concord- Coleridge Lady Bears saw their season come to an end Monday with a 51-33 loss to Cedar Catholic in the play-in round of the C2-5 SubDistrict. The Lady Bears got off to a slow start as the Trojans built a 13-point lead, extending it to 17 at the half. LCC was never able to get back in the game and saw their 7-16 season come to an end. Forsberg added seven points. Katelyn Steffen scored six, Sydney Chapman had four and Bethany Kardell and Madisyn Hall each had two. In their regular-season finale Thursday, the Lady Bears lost a 73-53 decision at Wisner-Pilger. LCC was able to keep pace early on, but the Lady Gators built a 14-point halftime lead and kept that double-digit advantage throughout the second half.
