Bears fall in shoot-out against state champs

LAUREL — After dropping a shootout to the defending Class C2 state champions, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys basketball team came right back to get a big win over conference foe Plainview and end a two-game losing streak.

On Tuesday the Bears hosted Ponca and were involved in a high-scoring battle, with the Indians claiming an 88-68 win.

The two teams came out hot early in the game and LCC was able to stay close for much of the first half, trailing 43-37 at intermission.
