Road win helps Bears finish week at 3-0

It was a spotless week for the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys basketball team, as they earned two road wins and a victory at home this past week. On Tuesday, the Bears traveled to Homer and came away with a 76-56 win over the Knights, using a balanced scoring attack to earn the victory. LCC broke open a close game with a big second quarter, outscoring the hosts 22-7 to take a 41-25 advantage and cruise to the easy win.

Three Bears finished in double figures, led by Noah Schutte’s game-high 29 points. Izac Reifenrath added 21 points and Ty Erwin put in 10. Also scoring were Kobe Heitman with seven, Charlie Stanley with three and Cael Hartung, Karsen Klooz and Garrett Taylor with two apiece. The Bears were on fire at home Friday, lighting up Emerson-Hubbard for 59 first-half points on their way to an easy 82-40 win over the Pirates.
