Veterans Day festivities planned here

Coleridge — Area residents are invited to take in the Coleridge Veterans Day program at the LCC Middle School here Monday.

The Veterans Day program will be held at the Coleridge Middle School Nov. 12 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

American Legion Post 114 will present the colors for the event. Patriotic musical selections will be presented by members of the Middle School Band and Choir.

The program will be conducted by Master of Ceremonies John Hoffart.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of World War I. The war ended at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, 1918. There were 116,516 Americans killed and over 200,000 wounded during the war, even though America didn’t enter the conflict until April 6, 1917.
