Vanness, Weberg reach big milestones

WAUSA — A pair of Wausa residents really know how to show they care.

Darwin Vanness and Patricia Weberg both reached some big milestones with their blood donations at the LifeServe Blood Center blood drive sponsored by the Wausa Volunteer Fire Dept. on Friday, Jan. 22.

Weberg has now donated six gallons of blood, while Vanness hit the four-gallon mark with his latest blood donation.

Organizers say 25 donors registered and 28 life-saving units of blood were donated. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up 84 lives.

Organizers said they were pleased with the assistance provided by Dave Carlson and the Wausa Fire Department for sponsoring and hosting the blood drive
