Tour of Homes showcases holiday sparkle here

RANDOLPH — Four homeowners here will be decking their halls and putting Christmas spirit on full display.

A festive Tour of Homes event sponsored by Reaching Out Around Randolph (ROAR) has been set for Saturday, Dec. 4.

Those interested in touring homes may purchase tickets for $7 at the Randolph Community Golf Course from noon until 3 p.m. and enjoy holiday treats.

Each ticket-purchaser is given a map with the list of homes to tour open-house style that day from noon until 4 p.m.

“It’s usually a fun event and fun to see other people’s houses and what they have for design ideas,” said ROAR President Sandy Owens.

Those attending the event should come away inspired with unique holiday decorating ideas, said Event Chairwoman Jane Janssen.

Typically, ROAR sponsors the event every other year but did not host it last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. There were difficulties with the 2018 event, as well. That year, the event had to be re-scheduled due to snow.

Janssen is hopeful this year’s event will help make the season bright.

“I’m expecting a good crowd as long as the weather holds out,” she said.
