Summerfest is latest event to be canceled

OSMOND — As was the case with this year’s alumni reunion, the Osmond Summerfest has been canceled because of concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Members of the Community HOME Team Summerfest Committee conferred recently to make the decision. Although some businesses and activities are opening up in the state, because this event brings in large crowds, they thought it was best.

“It’s better to be safe than sorry,” they said.

Erica Frahm, a member of the committee, commented, “Somehow, sometime, Community HOME Team wants to do something so the community can get back together, but for now, Summerfest is canceled.”
