Studio 103 finally hosts annual recital

Randolph — The days of Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 were filled with three dance recitals of Studio 10, Randolph.

Dancers from Wausa participating in the show were Noel and Brening Kumm, and Blair, Cade, Trace and Brooklynn Wakeley. These dancers have put in many hours practicing for the recital weekend. They started learning the dances in August and just finished up the week of recital. It was a great day to show off their hard work.

Despite COVID19 putting a halt to in person classes mid-March, the dancers preserved through the inconvenience of not being with their instructors and fellow dance mates. The studio had online classes until mid-May when the studio was able to resume in person classes.

The recital was different this year too. The dances were separated into three recitals. The company dances along with all the senior and junior regular classes was held on Friday night.

On Saturday afternoon, the remaining regular classes of the junior petites and baby dances were showcased in two recitals.

These dancers are in a variety of different dances including contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop.

Blair, Cade and Brooklynn Wakeley were a part of Studio 103’s company teams.
