Remembering a fallen friend

More than 100 vehicles followed the Laurel Veterans on Sunday as they made their way up the west hill past the home of Gary and Sally Newton. They were paying tribute to Gary, a fellow veteran and community business owner that passed away unexpectedly last week. Several vehicles displayed flags, posters or signs to share their condolences to Gary’s family during a time when visitations were not allowed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
