Randolph greets its first baby of 2020

RANDOLPH — Randolph’s New Year’s baby has arrived.

Zoey Jade Gubbels, the daughter of  Jace and Kelsey Gubbels was born  Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at 5:53 p.m. at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. 

She weighed 6 pounds 11.5 ounces, and measured 18.5 inches long. 

Grandparents are Tammi Burbach, Blair, John Camelin, Omaha, and John and Kathy Gubbels, Randolph.

Great-grandparents are Glenda Camelin, Boone, Iowa, Rita Gubbels and  Barb Burbach both of Randolph. 

The baby picked an interesting time to arrive. This is the third year in a row that Randolph’s New Year baby has arrived on Jan. 15. 

Oakley Ann Gubbels was born Jan. 15, 2018 and Rowan Daniel Wessel was born Jan. 15, 2019. 

The family will be the recipients of many gifts donated by Randolph merchants and professional people in a promotion sponsored by the Randolph Woman’s Club.
