Randolph city budget process begins

RANDOLPH — The Randolph City Council met last week to discuss the 2021-22 budget.

The Randolph Golf Board President Bill Schmit and Board member Mike Strathman presented budget requests for the Community Golf Course with the primary request that the city continue to pay the Clubhouse coordinator’s salary for another year.

A second budget workshop open to the public is set for Aug. 18.

Prior to the budget workshop, the City Council met in a special meeting to authorize City Administrator Ben Benton to complete property acquisitions involved in the Floodplain Project. As part of that process, the Council approved the sale of a portion of city property to Councilwoman Kalynda Kuhl and her husband, Derek, for two-tenths of an acre easement.
