Quilting group makes donation to aid Laurel Fire Hall project

LAUREL — The quilting group, the Sewcial Stitchers, have been busy making a one of a kind Nebraska quilt.

The quilt was then donated to the Laurel Fire and Rescue to be raffled off.

The group has been very active in helping surrounding communities as this is the third time a quilt was made to be raffled off.

Other quilts made were given to the Wayne Country View Nursing Home and the other to Wakefield Ambulance with quilting done by Mary Roder at The Quilt Works in Merrill, Iowa.

The quilt raffle money will go toward the new Fire Hall being built in Laurel.
