Pierce County Fair plans finalized; to include bull fighting

PIERCE — Plans have been made for the 2021 Pierce County Fair, July 28 through Aug. 1. River City Carnival will be returning this year with rides, food, games and ride armbands available. The fair board has strived to bring back the events county residents enjoy, with new events as well.

Barrel racing is returning on Wednesday and it is still a free night. Thursday evening is the popular Bush Pullers with 7 classes.

Friday is a free breakfast sponsored by Farmers Pride and the NEW Ex treme Bull Fighting. This is a point driven physical contest between a bull and bullfighter.

The more style, control, and closer they are to the bull, the more points they’ll earn for an exciting show. Borderline will perform outside beer garden.

On Saturday, Double S Bull Company again brings Extreme Bull Riding with a minimum of 30 bull rides for a full show. Luke Mills will close out the night in the beer garden and will bring “The Voice” contestant Savanah Chestnut with him.

The demolition derby will be held Sunday evening with Mods, Limited Weld, 90’s & Newer, and Bonestock classes officiated by CS Promotions. New this year is a Duo Bonestock class where one driver steers and a second person runs the gas.

More information will be included in an article in the Osmond Republican next week. For more information on any event, contact any Ag Society board member, check out www.piercecountyfair.org or find it on Facebook.
