Petersen earns Outstanding Artist award

WAUSA — The Lewis & Clark Conference Art Show was held Feb. 22-March 1, with 17 schools participating in the show. Each school could enter a total of 42 projects. Wausa received 36 awards. Entries included charcoal drawings, oil and acrylic paintings, watercolor painting, and mixed media.

Jaidyn Peterson, Randolph, a senior at Wausa Public School, earned first place, three second places, third place, and “Best of Show” for 3-D artwork. Petersen also earned Outstanding Artist for her 3-D artwork at the Big Show in Wakefield March 24.

Petersen is the daughter of Justin and Trisha Petersen, Randolph.
