Osmond pool party, ribbon cutting to be held Saturday

OSMOND — The Pierce County Economic Development (PCED) interns created three family-oriented events for the county residents to enjoy in the month of July. The first event will be held in Osmond on Saturday, July 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. PCED contracted US92 to host a live broadcast from the pool beginning at 1 p.m. News Channel Nebraska will also be there to conduct interviews with key people involved in the pool project.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the new pool will occur at 1 p.m. with city officials.

PCED will have a table set up where participants can register for a raffle/drawing donated by the City of Osmond. The raffle/drawing is free, one entry per person.

First prize is a 2021 family pool pass, second prize is a 2021 indi vidual pool pass, and third prize is $25 in Osmond Dollars. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m.

The PCED table will also feature a spinning prize wheel and more than 160 pool prizes purchased by PCED. Participants can spin the wheel one time to win a prize (while supplies last). In an effort to promote social

In an effort to promote social distancing, PCED encourages those waiting in line for the raffle/drawing or prize wheel to stand six feet apart. Hand sanitizer must be used before spinning the prize wheel.

Rxteme Ice Cream truck and Traveling Tiger Tavern will also be available on site for ice cream and food purchases. The pool will be open for swimming, but is limited to 150 guests because of current Directed Health Measures.
