Osmond’s ECAP process set to start next Monday

OSMOND — The Osmond Ventures Resources and Pierce County Economic Development is bringing the Entrepreneurial Community Activation Process (ECAP) process to Osmond to help identify priorities and actions for the future. The first community conversation will be on Monday, Feb. 17, starting at 6:30 p.m. ECAP is led by Nebraska Extension and creates an opportunity for all members of the community to share their ideas on the future through an online survey and a series of community conversations. The process is a holistic approach to help communities support growth by understanding their unique characteristics, community assets and potential opportunities. “We are excited to work with Osmond,” said Marilyn Schlake, Nebraska Extension Educator. She added that, “ECAP was developed in Nebraska and has been successful in other communities at creating an opportunity for individuals to share their ideas, build a common vision and coordinate action to increase community/economic development efforts.” The results of the Osmond community survey will be shared at the second community conversation on Feb. 24. Plan to participate in the ECAP Conversations. All sessions will start at 6:30 p.m. at the city auditorium. .Feb 17: Focus on the Osmond’s Characteristics – Community members identify strengths and begin a conversation about the future based on the eight ECAP characteristics.
