Northeast Conference Spring Gathering held in Wayne

WAYNE — Northeast Conference Spring Gathering was held on April 15 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Wayne. There were 84 in attendance including four pastors, three Nebraska Synodical Women’s Organization (NSWO) officers and Bishop Scott Johnson. The ladies enjoyed the theme Let Your Light Shine.

Pastor Deb Valentine presented a very interesting Bible Study on You’re here to be light. Erika Fink shared how her parents, who were missionaries for 40 years, let their light shine. Also attending was Bishop Scott Johnson who shared the Nebraska Synod and how we can let our lights shine.

A delicious lunch was served by the ladies of Our Savior. In the afternoon, entertainment was by the Heavenly Hens. The afternoon ended with a Worship/Communion Service. The tangible offering went to the Wayne Food Pantry/Backpack Program. The ladies enjoyed the day and left going out and letting their light shine in our churches, communities and world.
