LCC athletes compete in elite meet at Norfolk

NORFOLK — The Norfolk Classic has been a staple for the upcoming end of the track-and-field season.

Just to qualify to compete there is an honor.

The Bears Dan Puppe was the cream of the crop in the 110-meter hurdles, winning gold in the event. He was second in the 300-meter hurdles.

Carter Kvols competed in the 800-meter run, finishing in seventh place.

Spencer Hille (Plainview) 40.57; 2. Puppe (Laurel-Concord-Coleridge) 41.01.

Girls Individual Winners/Area Results: HIGH JUMP: T5. Tali Erwin (Laurel-Concord- Coleridge) 5-00.

SHOTPUT: 5. Lexi Eickhoff (Cedar Catholic) 37-04; 7. Berniece McCorkindale (Laurel- Concord-Coleridge) 35-10.
