Laurel Ministerial Assoc. brings on a part-time Care Coordinator

LAUREL — The Laurel-Concord Ministerial Association has recently made a couple changes.

They recently created a parttime Care Coordinator position to follow up with requests for financial assistance and use of the food pantry.

David Badley has been hired to fill the position.

“Often those who are in need have struggles that reach beyond food and finances,” said Pastor Matt Quanbeck, the Chair of the Ministerial Association. “The Ministerial wants to also help people grow in their relationship with Christ and to set them up to improve their lives moving forward. With David serving in this position, we are able to provide that higher level of care to those in our community who need support.”

The Ministerial Association has also recently changed their phone number. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please call or text 402-316-2718. You can also send an email to laurelconcordministerial@gmail.com.

The Ministerial Association will once again be providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meal baskets for community families who could use a little help during the holiday season when finances are often tight.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a basket, please reach out using the above contact information.

Through the Laurel-Concord Ministerial Association, area churches collaborate for the benefit of the community through various programs and initiatives.

The association coordinates the backpack lunch program which provides meals on weekends for children in need.

It also maintains a food pantry and has funds available to assist with urgent needs such as utilities, groceries, gas, or rent.
