Laurel ladies share their talents

Doing things for others, this line rings true for two special ladies who reside at the Hillcrest Assisted Living facility in Laurel. Vera Diediker (below) loves to embroidery.  Recently she has been working on making a table runner. She enjoys making items like this and gives them to her grandchildren when a special occasion arises. Freida Bowman (right) also enjoys making things with her hands. She is currently in the beginning stages of making an afghan for a family member. Both ladies hope the recipients of these projects enjoy them as much as they enjoyed making them. They not only make for a a great gift, but crafting them is a great way to spend a cold winter’s day.
