Lady Bears pick up a pair of wins at home

LAUREL — The LCC Lady Bears improved their season record to 10-8 with a pair of home victories last week. On Tuesday, the Lady Bears won a wild back-and-forth matchup with Pierce at LCC High School, going the full five sets and then some before coming away with a 25-22, 18-25, 25-15, 20-25, 18-16 win. On Thursday, the Lady Bears had a much easier time with the visiting Creighton Bulldogs, taking them down in three sets, 25-13, 25-16, 25-10. Individual highlights were not available at press time.
