Knox County has six new COVID cases

O’NEILL — North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) officials said as of Monday six new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Knox County.

That brings the total number of cases here up to 1,085 since the start of the pandemic last March. There have been 11 COVID-related deaths in Knox County since last March.

NCDHD Public Information officer said as of Monday some TestNebraska COVID-19 testing times and locations have changed.

Vaccinations are now being done across the state. More than 48,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered last week in Nebraska. As of Sunday, more than 234,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given to those in Phase 1 priority groups, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

As of Sunday, 68,355 Nebraskans have completed vaccination, which represents 4.61 percent of Nebraskans aged 16 or older.

Testing is still available at no charge for those that want it.

Pre-registration for testing at www.testnebraska.com is highly encouraged.

The Nebraska COVID-19 vaccine registry, located at www.ncdhd.ne.gov, should be used to sign up to get vaccinated.

For those 65 and over who already registered with NCDHD, do not sign up with the State. NCDHD will continue to schedule your vaccine. If you are 65 and over and did not sign up with NCDHD, please sign up on the new Nebraska registry, located at www. ncdhd.ne.gov.
