Knox County candidate filing deadlines are fast approaching
CENTER — Candidate filings are beginning to take place at the Knox County Clerk’s Office. The incumbent deadline is 5 p.m., Feb. 18, and March 2 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for non-incumbents for the following local races: Supervisors Districts 2, 4, and 6; the City Council Members at Large for Bloomfield, Creighton and Crofton; City Airport Authorities for Bloomfield and Creighton; and all Class III School Boards of Bloomfield, Creighton, Crofton, Nebraska Unified District #1-Verdigre School, Niobrara, Santee and Wausa. New this year is that the Santee Public School is now classified as a Class III school and the candidates must file by Feb. 18 (incumbents) or March 2 (nonincumbents). Many of the Federal and State races also have the same filing deadlines. Recent Primary Election candidates filing in the Knox County Clerk’s Office were: County Supervisor District #2 - Incumbent Patrick J.
