CREIGHTON — The boys’ track team competed at the Creighton relay track meet on Thursday, April 20. The boys scored 40 points and finished in fifth place out of the six teams competing. Elkhorn Valley was the team champion, followed by Wausa and Bloomfield.

In this meet, all the events are run as relays. The field events consist of three team members. The three distances are added together to get a total team distance, and all the running events are relays.

“The kids all did well,” McKenna said. “We have a small team, so we couldn’t enter a team in every event. Some of the kids also had to run four events back-to-back but they still competed hard and did a super job.

In the five running events, we finished with one first place, two second places and two third-place finishes.
