General election filing deadline draws near
CENTER — The incumbent filing deadline for the 2020 General Election is nearly here. The incumbent filing deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 to file for the races of Village Boards, Cedar-Knox Public Power District Board, North Central Public Power District Board and Educational Service Units #1 and #8.
The Knox County Clerk’s Office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on July 15 to accommodate incumbent and non-incumbents wishing to file for Village Boards of Trustees. The Secretary of State’s Office will also be open until 5:00 p.m. to take filings for the Public Power Boards and the ESU Boards.

North Central PPD Subdivision 2 – Incumbent Gordon Fulton
North Central PPD Subdivision 3 – Incumbent William Jedlicka
Cedar Knox PPD Subdivision 3 – Incumbent Terry Thunker
Filings in the Knox County Clerk’s Office were:
Bazile Mills Village Board of Trustees – Incumbents Richard Stubben & Lawrence R Vortherms
Center Village Board of Trustees – No filings
Niobrara Village Board of Trustees – Incumbents Jeff Bauer & Jessica N. Nielsen
Santee Village Board of Trustees – Incumbents Donald R LaPointe, Sr. & Natalie Torrez
Verdel Village Board of Trustees – Robert A. Motacek & Incumbent Jim Johnston
Verdigre Village Board of Trustees – Incumbent Leroy E Hollmann
Wausa Village Board of Trustees – No filings
Winnetoon Village Board of Trustees – Incumbent Willard Vrooman
