Here are a few other deadline for the upcoming election.

• Oct. 16 — Deadline–Mail-in registration (postmarked); DMV or County Treasurer registration; On-Line registration; application delivered to County Clerk’s Office by someone other than person registering to vote.

As Knox County is a by-mail election county, all ballots will be mailed to eligible registered voters on Oct. 14. It is very important to have your voter registration address up-to-date, Fischer said. Voters can request to have their ballot mailed earlier than Oct. 14, if they like, Fischer said, adding that early voting ballots can be mailed beginning Sept. 28.

Fischer said on-line voter registration can be done by going to the Knox County website at www.co.knox.ne.us, then to the “Election Information” button on the homepage and then to the NEBRASKA ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM link. Also, you can register online at http://ne.gov/go/NEreg2vote.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Joann Fischer at the Knox County Clerk’s office at her new email address clerk@knoxcountyne. org or call 402-288-5604.
