Fire destroys building on Kumm farm

WAUSA -- The Wausa Volunteer Fire Dept., assisted by the Osmond Volunteer Fire Department were called to the Mike and Lanell Kumm farm early Tuesday morning to extinguish a blaze in one of their out-buildings.

Mike Kumm said he was very grateful to the local firemen.

“The professional and wellorganized teamwork they displayed prevented a bad situation from becoming an even worse disaster. The fire was contained to the shed and its contents but the rest of the farm was safe, including our home,” Kumm said.
