Erwin said he has a lot to learn about how city government works and what role he will be able to play in helping to make the system work.

“I like to have all the information that I can get to make an informed decision when I approach any issue.”

Erwin was born in Osmond, grew up and graduated from Laurel. After high school, he went to college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating with a degree in agronomy.

He continues to enjoy his work in agriculture for North America United Phosphorus Limited.

He is a sales manager with a crew of sales personnel beneath him.

He has also worked for BASF and Monsanto.
