Cross country team is champion at Neligh-Oakdale

NELIGH — It was an overcast day at the Antelope Country Club for the Neligh-Oakdale cross country meet. The Osmond boys ran very well again and captured the championship plaque, defeating Boyd County by five points.

Top finisher for the Tigers was senior Jared Bessmer, placing fourth in 17:12, followed closely by Johnson Chishiba in fifth place at 17:14 and Graysen Schultze, sixth in 17:45. Ryan Schmit was the next Tiger to cross the line in 11th place, clocked at 18:28, followed by fellow freshman Kaden Polt, placing 14th in a time of 18:51. Aaron Chishiba was right behind Kaden in 15th place in a time of 18:59. Connor von Rentzell placed 54th in a time of 25:00.
