City budget hearing set for next Monday

OSMOND — Another budget hearing will be held in the coming week.

The City of Osmond budget hearing is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14.

The proposed budget for the City of Osmond is $2,616,493. Last year,

the figure was $4,090,507. The non-bond property tax requirement for

2020-21 is $189,000. Last year the amount was $186,000. The bond

retirement property tax requirement is $140,000. That number last year

was $115,000. The proposed total property tax request is $329,000 while

last year the figure was $301,000. The proposed tax rate for the ensuing

year is $0.746892. Last year the figure was $0.695316.

The city budget hearing will take place on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7:30

p.m. in the city council meeting room.
