Bringing in the Crop

Area farmers were busy last week racing to get their crops out of the fields as Mother Nature brought a week of nice weather for harvest. As the week progressed, a lot of farmers were wrapping up beans while others had started on corn. The latest USDA crop report shows that  94 percent of the state’s corn crop is considered mature, while 30 percent of the state’s corn crop has been harvested.
