Bear wrestlers go 1-2 at Pender quadrangular

PENDER — The LCC wrestlers posted a 1-2 finish in a quadrangular at Pender on Thursday in their final action before the holiday break.

The Bears beat the host Pendragons 31-30 on criteria after wrestling to a 30-30 tie in their first dual of the evening. Branden Meyer and Trace Naeve both won matches by pin for the Bears at 132 and 145 pounds, respectively, while forfeits went to Levi Jackson (160), Fischer Carson (220) and Kaden Swanson (285).

The Bears lost to Winside 54-24 in their second dual of the evening. Naeve was the lone winner on the mat for LCC, picking up his second pin of the night. Jackson, Carson and Swanson won matches by forfeit.
