Awana holds celebration and awards ceremony

CONCORD — Concord Awana Clubs hosted a year-end celebration and awards ceremony at the Concord Evangelical Free Church April 27. Approximately 300 people attended the event with 130 young people recognized for attendance, hard work and accomplishments. Refreshments followed. Those children recognized for completing handbooks were:

A number of clubbers also received ribbons for completing their Essentials basic handbooks: Alex Allison, Paul Allison, Kylee Bloom, Kory Burns, Dakota Carter, JJ Dangberg, Luke Erwin, Jade Fettig, Grace Galvin, Damaris Gonzalez, Yosmar Gonzalez, Olivia Kahn, Lizzbeth Lempke, Dominic Surber, Sarah Surber, Josiah Taster, Kate Tasler, Ruby Tasler.

About 130 young people attended Awana Clubs in Concord this past year with about 60 teen, college and adult leaders. Clubs are open to all area youth, ages pre-K through high school. Concord Awana Clubs will resume with registration in August 2022.
