Anonymous $25,000 challenge advances Coleridge park project goal

COLERIDGE — The Coleridge Area Fund is excited to announce that an anonymous family has pledged up to $25,000 as a matching grant to the Coleridge Area Fund to install modern playground equipment in Coleridge Park. This homegrown challenge provides a dollar-for-dollar match for every dollar raised now through July 15, 2022, resulting in as much as $50,000 to improve local amenities. This generosity marks major progress toward Coleridge Area Fund’s goal of raising $250,000 for the Coleridge Park Improvement Account.

Although nothing is known about the family making the pledge, their gift reflects steadfast dedication and support to the Coleridge community and surrounding area. The gift is a one-time opportunity for those who share the donors’ affection for the Coleridge Area to make double the impact and help Coleridge Area Fund make major improvements to the park.

Tax deductible contributions can be made directly to the Coleridge Area Fund, PO Box 3, Coleridge, NE 68727; or online at www.nebcommfound.org/give/coleridge-area-fund. Be sure to select “Park Improvement Account” in the dropdown menu.

The Coleridge Area Fund, an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation, is a community-led effort to use philanthropy to sustain and build the community of Coleridge and the surrounding area. The Fund works to increase charitable giving and to make grants that help create a sustainable and prosperous community. The Fund encourages people from all walks of life to give back to the community by providing a full range of charitable giving opportunities.

If you would like to visit with a member of the Coleridge Area Fund Advisory Committee about this or other opportunities, contact Chair Jeff Hansen at 402- 841-7751.

CAF hopes all who care about the Coleridge Area will consider taking advantage of this opportunity to make an impact on the lives of those who live, work, and visit Coleridge now and in the future. As of June 1, more than $55,000 has been raised for this project.
