Lady Bears finish seventh in golf district

BATTLE CREEK — The LCC girls golf team was not able to earn a spot in next week’s Class C state golf tournament after posting a seventh-place finish in the C-3 District tournament Monday.

The Class C state championships will be held on Monday and Tuesday at the Lake Mahoney Golf Club in North Platte.

The Lady Bears finished with a 468 and placed 54 shots behind the three state qualifiers — Battle Creek (397), Norfolk Catholic (401) and Cedar Catholic (414).
