Bears knock off Ponca to earn spot in L&C title game

RANDOLPH — The LCC boys basketball team avenged an earlier loss on their way through the 16-team bracket to reach the finals of the Lewis & Clark Conference tournament.

LCC opened Monday with a 66-45 win over Creighton at LCC School.

The Bears led from start to finish, building a nine-point halftime advantage and working their way to the first-round win.

Noah Schutte had a doubledouble with 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Bears. Izac Reifenrath added 16 points, Ty Erwin scored nine, Cael Hartung and Evan Haisch each had seven, Austin Hall had five and Deagan Puppe put in four.
